Man’s Best Friend, “A Boy & His Dog”

Posted in video with tags , on September 24, 2008 by Katrina Olson

A Boy and HIs Dog

A boy communicates telepathically with his dog as they scavenge for food and sex, and they stumble into an underground society where the old society is preserved. The daughter of one of the leaders of the community seduces and lures him below, where the citizens have become unable to reproduce because of being underground so long. They use him for impregnation purposes, and then plan to be rid of him.

One of my husbands favorite movies from 1975 is “A Boy And His Dog,” starring Don Johnson.  Apparently if the dog is not man’s best friend now, it definitely will be when the world comes to an end.

These are some of our favorite shots of our group at BM.  The Barbies are in there, because they are a group and they use to be my favorite to play with.

Funny Underwear Skid Marks

When I saw the above photo, it reminded me of a nice memory when our son was 5 years old.  His younger brother was jamming on drums in his room, literally looking like a future rock star in his muscle pants.  It actually sounded pretty good, so I grabbed the video camera and started to film while he, continued to play, oblivious anyone was watching.

The oldest snuck in, started laughing and said, “Look, you’re being filmed.”  The drummer looked up and a shy grin and a bit of embarrasment crept on his face.  The oldest started to giggle and that’s when

MOM said,

“Oh that’s pretty funny eh, let’s go film your room, it’s a mess.”  He ran down the hall as quick as possible, giggling, the kind of giggling you think they might accidentally pee their pants.  I got to the bedroom started filming him cleaning it as quick as possible, when I spotted the underwear sticking out from under the bed.

I approached the doorway with video to my eye, when what to my surprise ”Wait, are those skid marks on those underwear under your bed?”  He quickly grabbed them, and ran down the hallway, giggling so hard he started to tear up.

I on the other hand, turned off the video and began to giggle with him to the point of feeling like I might pee my pants.  Twenty One years later, the boys stop by and once in awhile we watch the video laughing hysterically.

It’s always a nice feeling to look back, laugh and enjoy the good times in the past.  Yes, skid marks are two funny words around this household.    Shoot, skid marks happen to people around this household and they still are funny.

I’m not talking me, but should another member of the family be reading this………I’m giggling.
